ELVIS IS IN THE BUILDING! ELVIS AND ANNMARIE that is! We had a wonderful afternoon to celebrate the KING'S 90th birthday with music and peanut butter and banana sandwiches. Check out our mini-King and Queens with their electric gold sunglasses. Annmarie - we love the outfit and hair, too!

Santa made an early visit to The Regency visiting with our residents. One by one Santa sat with our residents ranging from 51 to 103 years old. Smiles from ear to ear and even some tears, Santa and his elves made everyone so happy.
Thank you to our Queen Elf, Annmarie who shopped for every resident, purchasing gifts that she thought residents would need. Annmarie with her elves proceeded to wrap every gift and hand them to the big guy himself! We had a guest elf stop in, Erica the Elf. Her mischief behavior- like sitting on the piano and dancing on the table- had everyone laughing! It was a great day at The Regency- full of love, laughter and moments of believing in magic! Sometimes that’s all you need!

Every October for the last 20 years, the residents and staff participate in WEAR YOU JEANS TO HELP BREAST CANCER. Every Thursday, participants would pay $5.00 to wear jeans. The monies collected would be donated to various organizations throughout the years in honor of our Breast Cancer survivors - residents and staff.
This year we donated the money to Glen Cove Resident, Jane Fein, who participates in a yearly Breast Cancer Walk. She stopped in with her friend, Mindy Ennis, who is a 10-year Breast Cancer survivor and fellow walker. Jane has been doing the walk in honor of her friend, Mindy. They have raised over $10,000 over the last few years! Thank you, Jane and Mindy! Big hugs to our Regency team, Kathy and residents Pat and Carol (also sisters) for presenting our donation!

Our Annual Holiday Party was a hit! Every resident and staff member walked the red carpet as their entered the dining room with their names were announced.
Chef Pat and his staff made a beautiful Surf & Turf dinner, which was divine! Annemarie and her staff pushed the rolling bar through the dining room mixing up Regentini garnished with cranberries. It was a beautiful way to celebrate the holidays together!

Many of our residents have shared they went to Millerridge Inn for the holidays for decades as its been their family tradition. The Regency has had its own tradition of going to Millerridge Inn for the last 31 years.
Annemarie and her staff did back to back days as we have over 30 residents sign up! The Holiday Village is beautifully decorated, and residents love the fan favorite meal: Yankee Pot Roast with popovers. “This is my first time here and I love it! The French Dip is something I haven’t had in years!”, Rose Donnelly shared. If need a Holiday mood boost, stop by Long Island’s iconic and classic, Millerridge Inn, it will certainly get you in the Holiday spirit.
