Over 500 spots were hung from the ceiling, costumes were handmade, spots were painted on everyone’s faces and Cruella de Vil (a.k.a. Erica Ferrara) kept the party in order.
Each Department created a no carve pumpkin creation. The winning pumpkin was created by the Recreation Department, Pinocchio! Lots of fun music and dancing and games, too!

“Edith makes us laugh every day! She brings happiness and a sense of joy to our community. At 102, she talks about love and companionship all of the time!”, Erica Ferrara, Safe Harbor Community Director shared.

Thank you, Mayor Pam for celebrating Edith, too! The dance floor was set, the cake was decorated, and the DJ was ready for our funny lady! Now, we had to find a man to jump out of the cake… how appropriate to ask The Regency’s own funny man and chef. Chef Pat (a very good sport) took the job seriously and jumped out as confetti blasted through the air. Edith had a smile from ear to ear! The retired labor and delivery nurse thanked everyone for attending her party and ended it on a sweet note… “See you at my 103rd birthday!” Well said, Edith! We love you! Please show Edith some birthday L-O-V-E!

Thank you to our Annmarie and our Recreation Team for an amazing afternoon. The beer tasting was fun and Chef Pat’s Pretzel & Brats creation was out of this world! Thank you for a GERN time!

They returned with big smiles on their faces even though their wallets were a bit lighter. They are all hopeful that the next casino trip will bring them right to the JACKPOT!

We also thank the wonderful residents that adds such spirit and love to our lives. Your life stories inspire the staff daily and we adore you. The Regency stands even taller by not standing alone: we thank our companions, families, and the Glen Cove Community for all of their support and love!
