The Regency Assisted Living’s Senior Living Activities and Recreation Program offers a wide array of exercise classes, entertainment, social activities and trips to local attractions in Glen Cove and educational seminars. Our very own wheelchair accessible mini bus is ready to shuttle our residents anywhere around town.
Our talented team creates and develops activities and programs tailored to the specific needs of our residents. The Recreation Calendar is crafted anew each month with a special focus on intergenerational, charitable and entertainment programs.
In our Safe Harbor Memory Care Neighborhood, our rich programming includes sensory activities, failure-free pastimes, reminiscence therapy, and many occasions for social interaction with peers.
Meet our Recreation Director, Annmarie Hegarty
I am overwhelmed by all the love I have received from everyone, so far! I really enjoy being a Recreation Director And working with the elderly. I have been a recreation director for 20+ years. I am so happy to be working at The Regency, where I can utilize my talents, and learn and grow form each of you!
When I am not working, I enjoy spending time with my husband and 2 sons, as well as our 2 rescued Huskies. I am really looking forward to getting to know al of you and planning some great activities for you all to enjoy!
“You would think my mother would want to stay in the state where they are known for their seniors, assisted-living, and nursing homes…Florida! But no… she wanted to go to her old stomping grounds on Long Island. Sure enough, I was able to find the Regency in Glen Cove. From the moment we walked in, I knew it was going to be the best living environment for her. From the tour, the recreational activities, to the care, living conditions, and people that work there, I have no problem leaving my mother 1200 miles away to her new place called home and I thank you.”
Morales Family
“My uncle was a very private, quiet gentleman. I know, at first, the adjustment must have been very difficult for him, but he did exceedingly well- I believe he actually thrived. I remember when he accepted the microphone, that Beth handed him, at his l02nd Birthday celebration – he spoke eloquently and thanked everyone in the dining room at dinner that night. I was truly astounded! Again, thank you to everyone for the wonderful care he received from all of you at The Regency.”
Gratefully,
